Just finished watching the Leviathan ARG video by Wifies, (also the creator of the famous
"searching for a world that doesn't exist" video). It was pretty cool! And I have questions...
which I'll list below & try to asnwer! (after I remember how to make an html list XD)
Oh, and SPOILER LINE!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is gonna be my longest blog post yet xP. I'll just be talking about my theories here.
I think this is the easiest question of the bunch to answer. Based on what we know, Arronax
likely learned about the Leviathan in a similar fashion to Wifies, and dedicated herself to
understanding it. While her motives are unclear, it does seem she had a deep adoration for
figuring out the mystery of the Leviathan, based on her writing. Notably, she is absent for
the entirety of the video, making me wonder if she ended up in the same golden castle area
that Wifies did at the end?
Water breathing, or the abscence of it, seems to play a very important part in determining
whether or not the Leviathan will make contact with a player. If a player is absent of water
breathing, and has no other method to stop themselves from dying, then the Leviathan may be
connecting with the player as they get low on health, as we saw with Wifies at the end.
This is the biggest question, (and the one I'm most excited to theorize about!). I do have a few
ideas. Two theories, which I'll list below & answer respectively:
This is the more obvious one. When Wifies said that he would trust Hummer in the submarine, he
dropped the water breathing potion as a sign of trust. However, as Hummer was moving away, there
was a moment where Hummer was a bit too close and the potion entered his inventory. If he didn't
notice this, then it could be the reason why he did not end up in the golden castle in the same
way as Wifies.
This one might be me going out a limb a bit XP, but hear me out! What if... Hummer is Levi??
Or at least, working for Levi/a manifestation of Levi. There is a decent amount of evidence
that points to this potentially being true. For one, his constant insistence on being able to
"feel" Levi. Second, the fact that he already seemed to "know" what would happen if you drowned
with no items and belief, as if he had been to the castle before. And yet, he obviously did do the
same thing with Wifies on the hardcore server... so if he believed as much as Wifies, then why didn't
he get taken too? Maybe he was the one who did the "taking" instead....
But also, it could be a similar situation to Searching For A World That Doesn't Exist, where The King
In Yellow created a fake Avery to lure D3rlord away from finding him. Maybe Hummer was a
manifestation created by the Leviathan to lure driven individuals into it's lair, for one reason or another?
If not Hummer, then who and what is the Leviathan? I've got a couple theories for this one too:
I watched the Wifies video about creating the famous avery/d3rdlord arg, and in it he talked about some
of his inspirations. One of them was a short horror film called Portrait of God, where a mysterious godlike
figure haunts a girl preparing for a presentation. The Leviathan could be something similar to this, a figure
who waits and haunts those who are driven enough to find it. This would make sense based on what we've
seen so far.
This theory is a little more concrete, (and far-fetched XD). What if the Leviathan is literally just the
King in Yellow? This ties the two ARG's together in a neat way, and would thematically make some sense
as well. The goal of the King seems to be to re-inhabit the living world, and he is acutely aware of the
"digital realm" he is currently trapped in. When his plan to steal the mind of Avery failed, what if he
turned to the person who advertised the failure to the entire world... Wifies himself?
What worries me now is how at the end of the video, we saw Wifies fall to his desk, much in the same way
that D3rlord did when the King possessed his broken mind. Could it be that Wifies has been taken over by
the King? We did see him regain conciousness to send an email to Hummer at the end, but I still wonder if
he was in control at that point. Or maybe, the heart of the sea--the Leviathan's heart, was the catalyst for
infinite, mind-breaking knowledge in the same way that the thing behind the gates were for D3rlord.

Wow, giant theory rant haha--if you read this far, hope you found it interesting! If a part two to this
video comes out, I will definitely make a second part to this post to discuss thoughts as well. Bye!
